“But how?” Thom asks Luna once he is safely on board The Satisfaction.
 
“Your final message arrived a couple months ago, just as I was about to make a breakthrough in my research. It was the push I needed to finish my work. We were able to use it to find a wormhole and come get you. We need to refine the system, but we managed to make it through.”
 
“MONTHS?” Thom says incredulously. “But it happened yesterday!”
 
Luna laughs and shakes her head. “You really haven’t been listening when I’ve talked about my research. All’s fair in space and time.”
 
Settling in next to Thom, Luna looks over to where Captain Jax is waiting. “Jax,” she says. “Let’s go home…the long way.
