This painting is currently available at the Peake Gallery at The Perk in downtown Colorado Springs.
This summer I saw a video about a black hole "eating" a star that orbited too close to the event horizon. It was beautiful and I've wanted to paint it ever since.
After a couple attempts of Black Hole Cat with watercolor paint, I decided the medium just didn't bring the drama I needed. I got some of the Blackest Black paint from Culture Hustle and that really helps with the feeling I wanted.
This watercolor (and acrylic) painting is an 8x8" square, mounted on wood so it is suitable to hang as is or frame.
