Captain’s Log: Day Seventeen

My dearest Luna,

You know how you can be fine in our house or the lab almost every day, but once in a while it feels like danger is lurking in the shadows? The house makes a weird creak? An odd sound comes from the lab next door even though there’s no one there?

It’s so much worse in space. Alone.

Today I was, quite simply, creeped out. My fur was upright on my neck and I couldn’t escape the feeling that someone was watching me. The Curiosity also felt off kilter, listing away from the course I’d set for it. I decided to take the controls and drive for a while. It seems silly now, but I put the thrusters on full power and sped through space to escape that feeling of dread.

Sometimes you just have to take things into your own paws to settle your fur.
