Captain’s Log: Day Nine
 
My dearest Luna,
 
We’ve watched with interest as Betelgeuse dimmed and grew brighter on the shoulder of Orion. The new evidence that there is indeed a second star up there – up here – came just in time for my departure. Today, I had a chance to see Betelbuddy up close and personal.
 
I wonder if you’ll join the team researching the Betelbuddies when you are done with your current work. This second star is much smaller than one would expect in a binary star system. There are many questions to be answered. The rules are being rewritten.
